Lost Cat Intake Submitted

Thank you. Your Lost Cat Intake Form has been submitted to KC Pet Search & Rescue. We will review the information and contact you if follow-up was requested.

If this is an active missing cat case, keep your phone nearby. Watch for a call, text, or email from KC Pet Search & Rescue. If you receive a new confirmed sighting, camera photo, or urgent update, contact us directly.

What To Do Right Now

Do Not Chase or Pressure the Cat

If your cat is hiding, scared, or acting differently than normal, do not chase, pressure, corner, or repeatedly call for them. Even friendly indoor cats can go into survival mode outside.

Keep the Area Calm

Keep the area around the last known location as calm and quiet as possible. Avoid making major changes to food, scent items, cameras, or trap locations until a recovery plan is in place.

Track New Sightings

If you receive a new sighting, write down:

  • Date and time
  • Exact location
  • Direction of travel
  • What the cat was doing
  • Whether it was confirmed or only possible

Save any Ring camera clips, security camera screenshots, trail camera photos, neighbor messages, or social media comments that may help confirm movement.

What Happens Next

KC Pet Search & Rescue will review your form and determine the best next step based on your cat’s behavior, the escape point, the last confirmed sighting, the property layout, and any new information.

  • Owner-assisted cat trapping
  • Camera placement
  • Thermal ground search
  • Thermal drone support
  • Full-service cat recovery
  • Follow-up scan or return visit

Important: Do not wait to update us if the cat is seen again. A fresh sighting, camera photo, or exact location can quickly change the recovery plan.
