The Ground Thermal Search Stand-Alone service is a focused thermal search option for lost cat cases where KC Pet Search & Rescue is not providing a full recovery package, trapping package, or ongoing equipment setup.

This service uses professional ground-based thermal equipment to scan likely hiding areas around the escape point, nearby yards, brush lines, sheds, decks, porches, fence lines, drainage areas, wooded edges, and other locations where an indoor or displaced cat may be hiding.

Ground thermal search is especially useful when a cat is believed to still be close but is not responding, not coming when called, or may be hiding silently nearby. Many indoor cats remain low, still, and hidden after escaping, making them difficult to locate with flashlights or daytime searches alone.

This stand-alone service is designed to help gather better information, check high-probability hiding zones, and guide the owner’s next recovery steps.

Thermal search does not guarantee that the missing cat will be located. Results depend on weather, temperature, cover, terrain, access, distance, animal movement, and whether the cat’s heat signature is exposed enough to detect.

Best used for:
Lost indoor cats, recently escaped cats, cats believed to be hiding close to home, cats with nearby sightings, or properties with sheds, decks, brush, wooded edges, fence lines, or difficult hiding areas.

May include:
