Parkville — River Trails, Bridges & a Town Built Along the Water
Most of Parkville's off-leash risk concentrates along the English Landing / Platte Landing trail loop and the connecting Missouri Riverfront Trail, which links into a 15-mile route. A dog that bolts here has a fast, mostly flat corridor to travel along — sometimes for miles — rather than getting boxed in. The historic Waddell "A" Truss Bridge over Linn Branch Creek is a natural pinch point where trails funnel together, and it's useful for placing a camera or trap. Downtown Parkville's brick storefronts sit close enough to the riverfront park that a scared dog is just as likely to end up on Main Street as in the woods, so ground teams check both at once.
