This agreement explains the limited scope, risks, responsibilities, payment terms, and client acknowledgment required before KC Pet Search & Rescue deploys for an attempted emergency dog recovery effort.
This Agreement is entered into voluntarily by the undersigned client (“Client”) and KC Pet Search & Rescue (“KCPSR”) for the purpose of an attempted emergency location and recovery assistance effort involving a missing dog.
By requesting services, authorizing deployment, submitting payment, or accepting these terms during checkout, the Client acknowledges and agrees to the terms below.
The Client affirms that they are the legal owner of the dog or are otherwise authorized to request recovery assistance on the owner’s behalf.
The Client voluntarily requests emergency recovery services from KCPSR and acknowledges the limited scope of services described in this Agreement.
KCPSR provides limited-scope emergency dog recovery assistance only. Services may include, depending on the case, location, safety, weather, airspace, and operational feasibility:
KCPSR does not guarantee that the dog will be located, approached, captured, recovered, or returned.
KCPSR does not tranquilize animals, provide veterinary care, act as animal control, act as law enforcement, or guarantee physical capture.
This service is structured for emergency or time-sensitive dog recovery situations involving one or more of the following:
Effectiveness may decrease as time passes and as distance, terrain, weather, traffic exposure, scent dispersion, human pressure, and animal stress behaviors evolve.
Dogs in a heightened stress state may enter flight or survival behavior, ignore commands, avoid owners, and travel extended distances.
Emergency dog recovery operations are limited by available daylight or darkness conditions, weather, FAA and airspace restrictions, battery capacity, terrain, access, safety, and the dog’s movement.
Search efforts may conclude earlier if:
If confirmed visual or thermal contact is established, KCPSR will make reasonable efforts to assist with observation, guidance, and recovery coordination, subject to safety, legal, and operational constraints.
Extended operations, return deployments, or additional search services are at KCPSR’s discretion and may require separate approval and additional fees.
Fees are earned for dispatch, deployment, time, equipment utilization, consultation, travel, field work, and operational effort. Fees are not based on a guaranteed result.
Failure to locate, capture, or recover the dog does not negate earned fees.
The exact service selected, dispatch requirements, cancellation terms, return services, and any add-on fees are controlled by the service checkout, invoice, written quote, or payment page used by the Client at the time of booking.
KCPSR may require payment before deployment, at dispatch, upon arrival, or upon completion depending on the service type and case circumstances.
KCPSR uses a structured dog recovery approach designed to reduce pressure, protect sightings, and avoid pushing a scared dog farther away.
For optimal coordination, KCPSR may recommend:
Dogs under stress may flee if approached improperly. Improper approach attempts by the Client, helpers, neighbors, volunteers, or members of the public may reduce recovery probability.
KCPSR retains discretion to decline, stop, or modify any method that presents safety, legal, wildlife, property, airspace, weather, or operational risks.
The Client retains full discretion regarding whether to attempt physical recovery or capture once the dog is located.
KCPSR may provide observation, guidance, thermal support, search planning, and recovery recommendations. Physical capture attempts are performed by the Client, the owner, or their designees and are undertaken at their own risk.
KCPSR is not responsible for injury to persons, animals, property, or third parties resulting from capture attempts, approach attempts, or owner-directed recovery actions.
The Client affirms they have lawful authority to request search operations within the target area or have obtained appropriate permissions where required.
Drone operations are conducted subject to applicable FAA regulations and may be limited by:
KCPSR may discontinue, delay, relocate, or decline operations if legal, regulatory, access, weather, or safety constraints arise.
The Client acknowledges that missing dog recovery involves significant uncertainty and risk, including but not limited to:
KCPSR is not responsible for injury, death, loss, disappearance, escape, behavioral changes, or failure of recovery occurring before, during, or after the recovery attempt, except where liability cannot be waived under applicable law.
Search areas may contain wildlife, uneven terrain, barbed wire fencing, bodies of water, construction hazards, traffic exposure, abandoned structures, aggressive animals, environmental hazards, or other risks.
The Client assumes all risk associated with entering search areas, approaching the dog, attempting capture, or directing others to participate.
KCPSR does not provide wildlife control, animal control, veterinary services, emergency medical services, law enforcement services, or legal authority to enter restricted property.
In rare circumstances where retrieval of deployed equipment becomes unsafe, unlawful, or operationally unreasonable, KCPSR reserves the right to delay retrieval or abandon equipment to preserve human safety and comply with legal or property restrictions.
KCPSR is not liable for conditions requiring delayed retrieval or abandonment of equipment.
KCPSR provides technical search assistance, recovery planning, and field support only. KCPSR makes no representations or guarantees regarding:
No guarantees are expressed or implied.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Client releases, indemnifies, and holds harmless KC Pet Search & Rescue, KC Aerial Vision LLC, its owners, operators, contractors, affiliates, representatives, and agents from any and all claims, damages, liabilities, injuries, losses, expenses, or demands arising from or related to the recovery attempt, search operation, owner-directed decisions, capture attempts, property access, field conditions, animal behavior, or use of equipment, except in cases of proven gross negligence or willful misconduct.
This document constitutes the entire agreement between the parties regarding the limited-scope emergency dog recovery services described.
The Client acknowledges they have read, understood, and voluntarily agreed to these terms prior to deployment.
This Agreement may be incorporated into the checkout, invoice, payment, booking, or service request process. The Client must actively acknowledge and accept these terms by selecting the required agreement box, submitting the form, authorizing payment, or otherwise confirming acceptance prior to deployment.
Deployment may be delayed or declined if the Client does not acknowledge and accept this Agreement.
