Your entry is compared against every compatible entry in the system using what you tell us — where and when, size, colours, coat, breed, markings, collar — and, where photos allow it, an image-similarity check.

Anything promising goes to a KC Pet Search & Rescue team member. Nobody is contacted, and no details are shared between two people, until a person has looked at it.

This is a matching and identification aid. It does not claim to identify an individual animal, and a possible match is always a lead for a person to check.
