Thermal Ground Search + Cat Trapping ($395)
This service is designed for lost cat cases where the owner wants professional ground-based thermal search support combined with humane cat trapping strategy.
Each case includes a professional assessment, recovery planning, ground thermal search, and owner-assisted trapping guidance when appropriate. KC Pet Search & Rescue uses professional thermal equipment to scan likely hiding areas such as yards, fence lines, decks, sheds, porches, brush lines, wooded edges, drainage areas, and other areas where a missing cat may be hiding silently.
This service is especially helpful for indoor-only cats, displaced cats, nervous cats, or cats believed to be close but not responding when called. Many missing cats stay low, quiet, and hidden near the escape point, making them difficult to locate with flashlights, daytime searching, or calling alone.
Our approach combines ground thermal scanning, behavioral analysis, scent-based recovery techniques, monitoring strategy, and humane trapping guidance. When trapping is appropriate, we help guide the owner through a structured trapping plan using safe, humane recovery methods.
Every case is tailored to the circumstances of the missing cat and adjusted as new information becomes available. Operations are based on environmental conditions, access, temperature, terrain, sighting history, cat behavior, and realistic recovery opportunities.
This fee covers professional consultation, recovery planning, ground thermal search operations, trapping strategy, monitoring guidance, deployment resources, and case-specific recovery support. The service fee is based on the professional deployment, planning, equipment use, and recovery strategy provided — not only on whether the cat is located during the thermal search.
If your cat is located during the ground thermal search portion of the service, the full service fee still applies. Locating the cat with thermal equipment is part of the professional recovery process and does not reduce the price of the service. In many cases, confirming the cat’s location quickly is the best possible outcome and may prevent additional time, risk, or unnecessary trapping.
While every effort is made to assist in the recovery of your cat, results cannot be guaranteed. Thermal search results depend on weather, temperature, terrain, cover, distance, access, animal movement, and whether the cat’s heat signature is visible enough to detect. Trapping success depends on the cat’s behavior, food motivation, location, safety, timing, and owner participation.
